GREEK CUISINE

The Greek traditional cuisine is described as Mediterranean and has common characteristics with the traditional cuisines  of Italy, the Balkans and of Turkey. Modern Greek cuisine adopts a wide use of vegetables, olive oil, cereal, fish, wine and meat. Other important products are olives, tomatoes, cheese, aubergines, pumpkins, onions, garlic and yogurt while the main characteristics of the Greek sweets are dried nuts, honey and fruits.
