The Municipality of Polygyros annually celebrates the anniversary of the declaration of the revolution in Halkidiki on May 17, 1821, organizing celebrations aiming at preserving the historical memory. The cultural events gives even more brilliance to the celebration.
The memorial ceremony at the site of the Polygyrons inauguration to the Filiki Etairia, the established popular race of victory, concerts, theatrical and dance performances, art and book exhibitions complete the events and add to the student parade.
