Nea Kallikratia is a town of Chalkidiki, which was created after the People Exchange in 1922, with refugees from the town of Kallikratia in East Thrace. Today it is a municipal district of the Municipality of Nea Propontida. Ecclesiastically it is subordinated to the metropolis of Kassandria, and its patron is Saint Friday, Epavatini (the New).
The site had already been inhabited since prehistoric times, a testimony that has not been confirmed. Excavations made in the area brought to light a tombstone with a pediment, which represents a young daughter with a dove on her left hand. The find is kept in the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
In the NR. the edge of the settlement, towards the Limenavraion of the fishing boats, is a site where archaeologists discovered Ancient Baths. In the old Byzantine chapel of Saint Tryfonas, patron saint of the vineyards, every August is a feast and feast, during which dishes are served with local specialties and plenty of local varieties of wines (Merlo, Savinia etc)
