Galarinos is a village of Anthemounta Municipality of the municipality of Polygyros. There are three versions of how the village received the name Galarinos: First version: from the word milk and the verb “flow” came the name (milk-flow) = Galarenos and later Galarinos. Second version: In NA. of Galarinos there are chromium mines. From their galleries it was named “Galarias = Galarinos”. Third version: The name Galarinos comes from the Roman emperor Galerius and wants the village under the name “GALERINOS” and not “GALARINOS”.

Around the Municipal District of Galarinos, there are encouraging steps of industrial and craft activity, mainly from co-investing investors who are coming to invest in the region. The main work of the inhabitants is agriculture. The village celebrates on 2 May, when Saint Athanasius is celebrated.

A monument was built in the settlement in honor of Stamos Hapsas and his fighters who fell into battle with the Turks in 1821, during the Revolution of Chalkidiki. A great Galarinian fighter of the Greek Revolution of 1821 was the chieftain Dimitrios Vassiliou, who with his small body (consisting of 30 soldiers) and under the general instructions of Constantine Doubiotis took part in many battles in southern Greece. The monastery of Agia Anastasia of Pharmakochytria is located north of the village.
